Hey Slay, personally I think it’s a great forward move.
The new name and just MIAMI on the jersey shows they really want to connect with the city of Miami (vs Florida). The font is very South Beach Art Deco. Simple and classy.
And the colors celebrate the city’s gateway to Latin America. 70% of Miami speaks Spanish at home, and if you look at Latin baseball teams (or even the World Baseball Classic), you’ll see they captured the Latin baseball asthetic brilliantly. Pit Bull was the perfect act to unveil this look.
Love the oversized cap logo too. Very Clink!

My problem with the Miami Marlins logo is that the marlin coming around the “M” appears to be going in the wrong direction. Instead of leaping from behind the M and coming forward, it is backwards. It will drive me crazy forever. I like the art deco connection to Miami, but feel it could have been done better. Time will tell.

@Kevin Exactly its jus a sad logo to me no life in it at all!
I can understand the colors which represents well Miami but the “marlin” is horrible and doesnt fit the M!
