Crockey Crayon Farmer Sharks

Justin! Love this guys! Love this guy! Love that the face is drawn on with crayon. Love the rendering style. 2 things and this guys is ready to go. Didtch the red crayon at the bottom. You don’t need it. And tilt him clockwise so that he look like he’s jumping off the table ready to give those snot-nosed kindergartners a piece of his mind. Great stuff!

Justin! Love this guys too. But I’m worried that the crocodile/snow thing has been done. Look up the Everblades. It’s a great idea and you should be proud of it. But they got you beat.

Will! That is the scariest plow ever! Hauling butt to some unplowed field ready to grow some stuff. What if you made the windows on the cab eyes? Or not. Either way, one-n-done!

Exo! This is sweet too. The last of the today’s strong round of entries. Good stuff. I love the stitiches as teeth marks and blood. I really like the uniqueness of this shark character. I want you to ditch the “SHARKS” text though, it doesn’t need it. And that will give you more room for it’s tail to come up into the baseball more. Maybe even allowing us to see both the top and bottom tips of it’s tail. You feel me? Epic start. I love this guy!

  1. The Farmers takes the cake for me. I like the alternate mark even better though. That thing is badass. The Crockeys does look pretty similar to the Florida Everblades logo. I identified it immediately because I go to their games quite frequently being from that area. Well done though!

  2. Justin: So awesome. What if as well as adding dynamism to the crayon box, the open lid became his mouth and the crayons the jagged, pointed teeth? You could also add two crayons above and to the sides so that if that are surrounded and connected to the box with the same keystroke, thy might look like two arms thrown back as the crayon monster leaps off a desk toward an unsuspecting kindergartner!

Justin: Too bad about the Everblades. Your hockey stick mouth is exceedingly clever. Perhaps, though, a few vector edits and a color change could change this from a hockey gator to a hockey dalmatian? For some reason I’m thinking a yellow dot or two among the black?

Will: Have you ever been to Normal? This reminds me of the massive harvester standing outside the Normal Cornbelters stadium. So imposing. Nice secondary mark, too!

Exo: You have the start of something really great. Incorporating the red lacing as bloody teeth marks is really effective. I wonder how much this will improve if you break the circle shape with shark fins and a few more places?

  3. In Lind, Washington they have a combine demolition derby every year and I’ve used the name Inland Empire Fighting Combines for years for fantasy teams. Have always meant to create a logo and thought about doing it for this contest. Will beat me to the combine idea, nice work!

  4. Justin – 2 in 1!? Nice Entries, I’m impressed with your two completely different rendering styles. But why the hockey stick in the mouth of the Croc?…

Will – Kickass! although your Alt. is the winner for me.

Exo – Cool name! although the bottom part of your design confuses me, any chance you can show some more of the sharks body, like on the right hand side of the design? Could help. Great start!

  5. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the baseball bat corn stalk has been done before too. Studio Simon did it with the Cedar Rapids Kernels.

I like the shark, but I agree, lose the type and bring the tail up around the ball.

  6. Thomas is right and I think Will knew that and that’s why he used the plow I think that the plow is pretty sick though to.
