If you haven’t been to the Winter Meeting they’re fun. Really fun. Out till 5am on Sunday night, 2am last night. I love baseball!
These two entries are f**king awesome. Stefan! Wow. Love the description. Love the design. Love the design. This is epic. The only thing I’m worried about is how you’re going to top this design when you submit your second design. Amazing!

Bird! Another gem! Get it! Everything is great. The only thing I’d change is the blue outline/shadow. I don’t think it’s necessary. Just a big fat raised donut on the cap. Done! Amazing!

Once again the donut reference has nothing to do with skating at all this is not the hate cops league! The other cap is not worth commenting on.
Gnar, donuts This is the skate shop league right????
Yea Iam not feeling those caps at all.
The Gnar makes sense to me, did you guys read the description? Its not as literal as the “tre flips” etc, but it jives in my opinion.
The Donut one, i cant really defend.
well, allow me to add a constructive response. lol.
stefan- HELL YEAH, on the gnar! that is great! very iconic, and i could see that being a huge hit with both adults and kids! love the back story and simple colors too. not overdone. love it! could also see it being a hit in the surfing, skiing, snowboarding, etc. community.
aaron-that’s actually making my hungry! if i owned a doughnut shop, this would be commissioned! i agree, drop the shadow.
don’t let any commenter’s friends fool you, great work to both of you! i can honestly say i see 2 hats here that i’d wear. really cool
josh-why didn’t you just type that comment on the front of a hat? pink with red lettes maybe? i don’t know, i think you may have a hit there. lol
Ryan really how old ru? My guess is your at least 40 something U really dont sh-t about fitted caps at all at do u??or skating so please keep your corny remarks to yourself.
Lol at the irony of the grammar in that comment, asking how old someone else is.
Iam really getting sick of these middle aged old men commenting on fitted caps when dont know nothing about the fitted hat culture. Stick to your desk jobs!!!actually I am just talking about Mr Ry Co!!!! sorry clinkroom this guy is starting to pi## me off
rebellious youth, stick to your desk jobs! lol
alright, i’m done commenting on your non-constructive comments and all your other work josh. you’re obviously upset. this is me saying, you win. i’m done, no worries, moving forward… lol
I feel that the idea here is that the designs should be “skateboard inspired”, not necessarily something that has to have a wheel or a board involved. I think both of these designs hit the nail on the head when it comes to iconic images. I enjoy the simplicity of these designs. Yet their effective in getting their ideas across. Great work on both!
lmao! i don’t think josh slay has any room to talk mess, look at his entries. regardless if he doesn’t think these two entries have anything to do with skating, they are still better designs than what he came up with. just sayin.
U guys have really gone mad Iam not taking sides here but come on clinkers a donut on a cap pleassssssse who in they right mind would were that besides the person who created it!Josh slays caps gotta top that lets be realistic clinkroom.
Personally, im still at a loss as to what people seem to like so much about the LA Skaters hat.
Im not taking shots at it, but i just dont see what people love about it so much…thats just me though. To each his own.
honestly?!? go to your local skate shop and look at the hats and tees. i bet you will find skulls, tigers, girls, trees, swords and bunch of other stuff that has nothing to do with skating on them. get out of your box son, open your brain to new, creative ideas….and even if the ideas do suck, at least they were well executed.
I have to give my 2 cents.
The gnar is just weak from my opinion…… reminds me of the movie monsters inc.
The cops, eh…… I will say it was executed well but no! I don’t work at dunkin donuts so there is no need to own any article of clothing with a donut on it!
Just giving my honest opinion.
. Stefan: I love the idea behind your design. Terrific story, but something need to happen to help the logo jump out like maybe a light colored outlining stroke?
. Like the rendering, and the story. I remember being kicked out of parking garages by the cops/security in Houston when I was younger numerous times. As a kid I thought it was idiotic. Now as a grown up who owned his own business for many years I understand the insurance risks to the owners of the properties and why they kicked us out. Yes, I’ve turned into “the man” in my old age. Would I wear a hat with a donut on it though…probably not.
The Donuts hat-Overall, it’s a fun hat that’s wearable and that’s what counts. The thing that distracts me is the hat colors and rounded C that brings my mind to a Chicago Cubs alternate. Since you don’t want people thinking “silly Cubs hat”, are there other colors you’ve tried besides royal blue and red? Pick up some colors from a Doughnut chain or cop cars?
Tom R … you may want to adjust your monitor settings (or I need tio adjust mine), but I think that hat is purple, not royal blue.
Does the clinkroom see that discussion didnt even get this deep till Josh became a fan of the clink. Its really cool that a fresh new audience is voicing there opinion in the clinkroom. Regardless if josh is promoting his cap at the same time he also is promoting the clinkroom. Josh keep up the good work
Giving this dude Josh credit for The Clink Room’s notoriety is a stretch, simple and plain.
Its laughable. Did no one see the posts with links to the Clink Room, from all over the web, after the FIRST contest? If anything, their connection with strictlyfitteds has gained them more of an audience than anything, as opposed to a single dude getting his buddies to comment on his entry.
Btw, im gettin antsy without having new entries to look at, these past couple days. Jason, Casey, whats up?
I’ll be honest. I had no clue about the Clink, till Josh told me.
You guys honestly need to promote a lil more.
